The Annapurna region is popular and most diverse trekking area in Nepal. It takes around 3 weeks to complete this trek. It contains mountains like Annapurna I, Dhaulagiri. Between two this mountains lies the valley of Kali-Gandaki river, the deepest gorge in the world. The snow covered mountains, fertile farmland, undisturbed natural forest, ethnic communities make this area as one the most satisfying trekking destinations in Nepal.
As large chunk of land of this region fall in the rain shadow area. Hence, these parts are considerably drier than the southern slopes of the mountains. This leads to unusually diverse landscapes and the possibility of trekking during the monsoon.
